Europe Investment Trust plc)

Further to the announcement made on 15 April 2008, the Company announces that
The Registrar of Companies has issued the Certificate of Incorporation on
Change of Name and therefore the name of the Company has been changed to
BlackRock Greater Europe Investment Trust plc with effect from 25 April 2008.
