The Throgmorton Trust PLC ("the Company") announces the retirement of Mr
Richard Bernays as the Chairman and as a Director of the Company with effect
from the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting, held today, 22
March 2012. Lord Latymer succeeds Mr Bernays as the Chairman of the Company and
its Nomination and the Management Engagement Committees.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Bernays for the
important contribution that he has made since joining the Company as a Director
in 2002 and to wish him well for the future.
