BlackRock Throgmorton Trust plc - Change in directorate

Further to the announcement made on 5 February 2014, BlackRock Throgmorton
Trust plc (the "Company") confirms that Mr Harry Westropp has now retired as a
Director of the Company. Mr Westropp has served as a Director of the Company
since 2003 and has been a valuable contributor to board governance and
strategy.
The Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Mr Loudon Greenlees as a Director
of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Greenlees will also serve as a member
of the Company's Audit, Management Engagement and Nomination Committees.
Mr Greenlees is currently an independent member of the Compliance, Risk and
Audit Committee of Nevsky Capital LLP. He was previously Chief Financial
Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Thames River Capital from 1999 until
2007 and then Commercial Director until his retirement in May 2013. He was also
Group Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer of Rothschild Asset
Management from May 1996 to September 1998 and prior to that he spent ten years
from May 1986 to May 1996 as Group Finance Director of Baring Asset Management.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974.
Mr Greenlees holds 10,000 ordinary shares of the Company at the present time.
