Aegon no longer has notifiable interest

Aegon Asset Management UK plc (on behalf of itself and the Aegon UK plc Group
of Companies) notified the Company on 9 August 2005 that, following a disposal
of 15,608,483 shares on 8 August 2005, it now held 766,976 shares of Bodycote
International plc and, that consequently, it no longer holds a notifiable
interest in Bodycote's share capital.
