Bodycote acquires Environmental Business in Montreal
Bodycote International plc announces the bolt-on acquisition, by Bodycote
Materials Testing Group, of the entire issued share capital of Arthur Gordon
Environmental Evaluators Limited based in southern Montreal, Canada.
The acquired business will operate as part of the Bodycote Materials Testing's
Environmental Division. This ISO/IEC 17025 accredited business carried out
continuous emission monitoring of major industrial customers in the paper,
metallurgy and petro-chemical sectors, and is complementary to Bodycote's
existing stack sampling business unit based in Ste Foy, Quebec City.
The acquisition of Arthur Gordon has placed Bodycote in an excellent position
to be able to benefit from the increasing regulatory demands placed upon
industry arising from more stringent environmental requirements and the
Canadian Government's active participation in the Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse
emissions,.
Key Arthur Gordon management will transfer to Bodycote and will be assisting in
the growth of the business.
