Company Chairman and EBT increase holdings

Bodycote International plc announces that Company Chairman, James Wallace,
notified the company yesterday that on 31 July 2007 he bought 50,000 shares at
269.98p per share. Mr Wallace's beneficial interests now total 107,287 shares.

Bodycote also announces that Lloyds TSB Offshore Trust Company Limited, as
trustee of the Bodycote Employee Benefit Trust, in which all executive
directors and employees are potentially interested, purchased 300,000 shares at
269.69p per share on 31 July 2007. The trust now holds 1,987,926 Bodycote
shares.
