Share purchase by employee benefit trust

Bodycote International plc announces that Hill Samuel Offshore Trust Company
Limited, as trustee of the Trust, in which all executive directors and
employees are potentially interested, purchased 300,000 shares at 208.5p on 15
December 2005. The trust now holds 1,321,823 Bodycote shares.
