Standard Life's voting rights at 10.97%

Standard Life Investments Limited notified the Company on 13 February 2009 that
as at 12 February 2009 it held voting rights in respect of 20,548,315 shares of
Bodycote plc representing 10.97% of the voting rights in Bodycote's issued
share capital (previously 11.81% on 11 February 2009).
