Standard Life voting rights at 8.9%

Standard Life Investments Limited notified the Company on 20 April 2009 that as
at 17 April 2009 it held voting rights in respect of 16,675,664 shares of
Bodycote plc representing 8.9% of the voting rights in Bodycote's issued share
capital (previously 9.89% on 13 March 2009).
