Capita is pleased to announce that it has been appointed by West Sussex County
Council as the authority's IT Infrastructure partner. The 7 year contract, worth
£56m initially, will provide the Council with a high quality, flexible and
sustainable IT service at significantly lower cost.
Jeremy Northeast, Head of IT Operations, West Sussex County Council commented,
"The appointment of Capita as our IT partner represents a great outcome for the
Council. Capita's solution maximises the investment the Council has made in IT
facilities and technology. I am looking forward to working in partnership with
Capita to deliver an improved IT service which will underpin wider
organisational transformation and realise significant savings for the
authority. The flexibility of the Capita solution will also help meet the
changing needs of the Council going forwards."
For Capita, this is an important new account that will contribute to its
growing network of local government partnerships. Capita will benefit from
working with a leading County Council that has already demonstrated innovation
through its Fundamental Service Review (FSR) programme.
