Capita recommended as shared corporate services provider for five district councils
Capita announces today that it has been named as the councils' officers’ recommendation for preferred bidder to become the shared services provider for five district councils. The contract is expected to be valued at £139m over nine years.
The contract would be between Capita and South Oxfordshire, Vale of White Horse, Hart, Havant and Mendip District Councils, and would see Capita introduce an innovative shared services platform that also has the flexibility to meet the individual needs of each council. Capita would deliver a suite of corporate services including revenues and benefits, customer services, human resources, IT and procurement.
Formal appointment as preferred bidder is subject to approval from each of the councils’ cabinets. The councils’ staff are being informed of this recommendation today. Further details will be issued following the councils’ due process, as appropriate.
