MIAMI, June 27 -- As a technical requirement, Carnival
Corporation & plc (NYSE: CCL, LSE)(NYSE: CUK) announces that it has filed with
the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission a joint registration statement on
Form S-3 (the "Filing") today for the registration of Carnival Corporation
common stock and the trust shares of beneficial interest in the P&O Princess
Special Voting Trust, representing a beneficial interest in the Carnival plc
Special Voting Share and which are paired with Carnival Corporation's common
stock, in connection with Carnival Corporation's Automatic Dividend
Reinvestment Plan (the "Plan"). The Plan now reflects recent amendments made
by the board of Carnival Corporation to increase the number of newly
authorized shares issuable thereunder to 1,000,000 and to have such number of
shares equitably adjusted to take account of changes in the share capital of
Carnival Corporation, such as stock splits, combinations, reclassifications
and stock dividends.
