    MIAMI (October 5, 2006) - On October 4, 2006, Carnival Corporation & plc 
(NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) was notified that on that day, Dr. Modesto A. 
Maidique, a member of Carnival Corporation & plc's boards of directors, 
purchased 2,000 shares of Carnival Corporation common stock at an average 
price of $48.6299 (USD) per share.  Following this transaction, Maidique owns 
an aggregate of 2,000 shares of common stock.
    This notification relates to disclosures made in accordance with
