CHELVERTON GROWTH TRUST PLC

The Company has today been informed that Colinette Holdings Limited, a company
controlled by David Horner, the Managing Director of Chelverton Asset
Management Limited (the investment managers of Chelverton Growth Trust PLC)
purchased 30,000 Ordinary 1p shares on 5 July 2004 at the price of 29 pence per
share.

Following this transaction, Mr Horner is interested in a total of 911,368
Ordinary 1p Shares (representing 5.02% of the issued class of capital).
