                      Chemring Group PLC ("the Company")                       

                              Additional Listing                               

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for 373,551 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ("Ordinary
Shares") to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock
Exchange's market for listed securities ("Admission").

The new Ordinary Shares, which rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares in issue, are being issued pursuant to the acquisition of Simmel Difesa
S.p.A as announced on 30 March 2007.

It is expected that Admission will become effective on 5 April 2007.
