ANALYSTS SITE VISITS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 25 SEPTEMBER 2006 CHEMRING GROUP PLC ANALYSTS SITE VISITS Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring" or "the Company") is to host a series of site visits by research analysts and fund managers this week. During these visits the management of Chemring will be making a series of presentations on the Company's products, capabilities and markets. Chemring is the leading supplier of expendable decoys, with over 50% of the world market, and will be presenting its own view of the key drivers and long-term prospects for the global market. The presentations will demonstrate the Company's belief that its market outlook for the next five years remains strong, with continued prospects for good growth in the longer-term. In particular, these presentations will focus on: i) The continued intensity of peacekeeping operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and other global trouble spots, and how this is expected to drive market growth over the next few years. ii) The growing number of Defence Aids Suites systems now being fitted to existing platforms, such as Apache, NH90, Tiger and Lynx, and how they will extend the demand for expendable decoys over the medium term. iii) The introduction of new platforms, such as Raptor, Typhoon, JSF, V-22 and A400M, and how they will generate new flare requirements that will grow over the long-term and should compensate for any mid-term reduction in peacekeeping activities. iv) The introduction of advanced decoys, with more sophisticated countermeasure performance, and how they are both increasing the cost per flare dispensed and generating significantly higher than inflation growth in market revenue. Chemring has recently acquired a number of companies in the energetics market. The presentations will focus on the size and structure of the key market segments, discuss the strong progress made on integrating the acquisitions and identify areas targeted for long-term growth by the Company. The presentations will be posted on the Company's website. Enquiries: Rupert Pittman - Cardew Group Tel: 020 7930 0777
