                      Chemring Group PLC ("the Company")                       

                                 Block Listing                                 

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for 43,973 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ("Ordinary
Shares") to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock
Exchange's market for listed securities ("Admission").

The new Ordinary Shares, which rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares in issue, may be issued from time to time pursuant to the exercise of
employee share options under The Chemring Group 2008 UK Sharesave Plan and The
Chemring Group 2008 US Stock Purchase Plan. It is expected that Admission will
become effective on 27 August 2010.
