Chemring Group PLC (the "Company") - Transaction in Own Shares

The Company announces that on 29th October it purchased a total of 40,000
ordinary shares of 5p each on the London Stock Exchange via Investec Investment
Banking. The highest price paid was 1650 pence per share and the lowest price
paid was 1536 pence per share.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above
purchase, the Company holds a total of 306,500 ordinary shares as treasury
shares and has a total of 35,229,199 ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares
held in Treasury).
