DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST

The company was notified on 1st March by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Group
Limited, an indirect subsidiary of Allianz AG, that Allianz AG and its
subsidiaries now hold a notifiable interest in 16,495,253 ordinary shares of 5p
each in the Company, representing 19.12% of the total shares in issue. Included
in this holding is the interest of Veer Palthe Voute NV which is interested in
16,469,638 shares representing 19.09% of the shares in issue, based on a total
number of shares in issue of 86,255,452.
