Director/PDMR Shareholding

   Notification of Transaction of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial    
                  Responsibility ("PDMR") or Connected Person                  

The Company has been notified that today Thomas J Thomson , Vice Chairman and a
Director of the Company , has sold 79,121 Ordinary Shares at 363.25 pence per
share. His total interest in the Ordinary Shares of the Company following this
transaction is 35,264 shares (0.052%).

Mr Thomson has informed the Company that he has sold the shares ahead of the
new Capital Gains Tax legislation. Mr Thomson has indicated that it is his
intention to exercise share options more than thirty days later.
