Strengthening of product range in wireless communication and VoIP sector
Concurrent Technologies Plc ('Concurrent' or the 'Company'), a world leading
specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products
used in the defence, transportation, communications and industrial markets,
announces the launch of its latest product, the PR AMC/33x; an Advanced
Mezzanine Card for use in advanced telecommunication systems.
This new product, which is the first of a new product range, combines features
and innovations that are characteristic of Concurrent. The product is designed
to augment the new Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (AdvancedTCA) which
is becoming very popular with telecommunications equipment suppliers. In
addition the PR AMC/33x has been developed for use in the emerging new high
performance switched-fabric based bus standard called MicroTCA. The product is
targeted at applications such as wireless base stations, security, test and
measurement systems, Voice over IP (VoIP), media-servers or blade-servers. With
this range of applications in mind, the PR AMC/33x supports a wide variety of
industry standard operating systems.
For ease of integration, many of today's leading operating systems are
supported including Linux®, Windows® 2000, Windows® Server 2003, Windows® XP,
Windows® XP Embedded, QNX® and VxWorks®.
