Concurrent Technologies Plc
Product Launch
Concurrent's fastest ever product using the latest Intel® technology
Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent"), a world leading specialist in the
design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, announces the
launch of a new CompactPCI® board, the PP512/06x.
This is the fastest board that Concurrent has ever produced and it should
receive strong interest from existing and potential customers from a broad
range of industries.
The PP512/06X is one of the first critical embedded products available in the
market place based on the newly launched dual core processor from the Intel
embedded roadmap, the 2.53 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T9400, which
utilizes Intel's 45nm (nanometer) process technology. The combination of very
high performance data processing with a wide range of interfaces ensures that
the product is an ideal choice for processing intensive applications,
particularly within the communications, security, telemetry, scientific and
aerospace markets.
Jane Annear, Commercial Director for Concurrent Technologies, commented:
"As one of the first companies to announce a product based on the latest
processor platform from Intel's embedded roadmap, we have re-emphasised our
commitment to introduce new high performance products to the critical embedded
market. This latest product will provide the additional performance our
customers are asking for. The overall combination of Intel's new technology on
the embedded roadmap means that the PP 512/06x gives an improved performance
per Watt over currently available 6U CompactPCI® SBCs (single board computers)
in a single slot solution."
Joe Jensen, General Manager, Intel Embedded Computing Division, commented:
"Concurrent Technologies continues to introduce the latest high performance
products based on Intel's embedded roadmap. This latest single board computer
combines the latest Intel processor technology with high performance memory
technology, to provide an appealing solution for processing intensive
applications such as deep packet inspection."
