Concurrent Technologies Plc
Launch of New Product Range
High Performance Small Computer
Concurrent Technologies Plc ('Concurrent'), a world leading specialist in the
design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products announces the
launch of its latest product range which will expand and strengthen
Concurrent's foothold in the defence and transportation sectors.
This new single board computer, which supports open standards and utilises the
Pentium® M processor, is based on the popular CompactPCI bus architecture which
Concurrent has embraced for many years.
This new product, termed TP 30x, uses a much smaller board size than
Concurrent's existing single board computers. Its compact dimensions and rugged
construction positions the product range strongly in the defence and
transportation markets where high levels of vibration, shock and temperature
variance are commonplace.
The product also provides networking, graphics and storage interfaces as well
as input/output capabilities and these complement the board's significant
processing power especially when used with any of the multiple operating
systems which are supported.
Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, Concurrent Technologies Plc, commented:
'This new product is the first in a new range being developedin future yearsand
leverages many aspects of ourexisting technologies. Our best selling product
range today is CompactPCI and this new range is based on a smaller sized
version of CompactPCI - referred to as 3U CompactPCI,which is about 50% of the
size.'
'We expect this product to open up new market sectors which will enable us to
reach many new customers in North America, Europe and the Far East.'
