                        ADJUSTMENTS ON ON-GRID TARIFFS                         

This announcement is made by Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd
(the "Company") pursuant to Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance
(Cap 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong) and Rules 13.09(2)(a) and 13.10B of the
Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong
Limited.

The Company announces that it recently received the "NDRC's Notice on Reducing
the On-Grid Tariffs for Coal-fired Power and Electricity Prices for Industrial
and Commercial Use" (NDRC Prices [2015] No. 748 (the "Notice") issued by
National Development and Reform Commission ("NDRC"). Based on the relevant
principles of the power system reform and the relevant requirements of the
linkage system for coal and electricity prices, the Notice was issued to make
downward adjustments on the on-grid tariffs for coal-fired power.

According to the Notice, the details of downward adjustments on the on-grid
tariffs of the Company's coal-fired power generating units in the major service
regions are as follows:

The abovementioned tariff adjustments came into effect on 20 April 2015. After
the current on-grid tariff adjustments for coal-fired power, the average
on-grid tariffs for the Company's coal-fired power generating units will be
decreased by approximately RMB1.89 cents/kWh (tax-inclusive).
