                APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISER 



Reference is made to the announcement of Datang International 
Power Co., Ltd (the "Company") dated 27 August 2014 (the "Announcement") 
in relation to the Entrusted Loan Framework Agreement. Unless otherwise 
defined, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the 
same meanings as those defined in the Announcement.

Quam Capital Limited has been appointed as the independent financial 
adviser (the "Independent Financial Adviser") to advise the independent 
board committee and the independent shareholders in connection with the 
Entrusted Loan Framework Agreement. The letter of advice from the 
Independent Financial Adviser in respect of the Entrusted Loan 
Framework Agreement will be included in the circular to be despatched 
by the Company in due course.
