                           DELAY IN DESPATCH OF CIRCULAR                               
                   REGARDING CONTINUING CONNECTED TRANSACTIONS

Reference is made to the announcements of Datang International Power Generation 
Co., Ltd. (the "Company") dated 23 December 2014 (the "Announcements") in relation 
to the Framework Agreement of Sale of Natural Gas, the Sale and Purchase Contract 
of Chemical Products (Keqi), the purchase of Chemical Products under the Sale and 
Purchase Contract of Chemical Products (Duolun) and the Fuel Purchase Framework 
Agreement (the "Agreements"). Unless otherwise defined, capitalised terms used in 
this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcements. 

As stated in the Announcements, a circular (the "Circular") containing details of 
the Agreements, a letter from the independent board committee and a letter from the 
independent financial advisor of the Company, both advising the terms of the 
Agreements, is expected to be despatched to the Shareholders on or before 
16 January 2015. 

As the Company requires additional time to finalise certain information for inclusion 
in the Circular, the despatch date of the Circular is expected to be postponed to 
a date falling on or before 22 January 2015.
