                                     ANNOUNCEMENT ON POWER GENERATION 
                                       FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2013

The board of directors (the "Board") and all directors (the "Directors") of the Company warrant that there 
are no false representations and misleading statements contained in, or material omissions from this 
announcement, and severally and jointly accept the responsibility for the truthfulness, accuracy and 
completeness of the contents of this announcement. 

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.10(B) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The 
Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.


Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that, based on the Company's 
preliminary statistics, as of 30 June 2013, total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the 
"Group") amounted to approximately 92.8545 billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 2.08% when 
compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total on-grid power generation of the Group 
amounted to approximately 87.7776 billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 2.00% when compared 
to the corresponding period of the previous year. 

The Group's power generation of thermal power generation units decreased by approximately 2.73% when compared 
to the corresponding period of the previous year which was attributable to a slowdown in economic growth of 
China and the decrease in overall regional on-grid utilisation hours of thermal power generation units and 
the impact brought by planned maintenance of generation units. The Group's power generation of hydro-electric 
power generation units decreased by approximately 5.35% when compared to the corresponding period of the 
previous year as a result of the decrease in inflow water in the basin where the generation units situated. 
Since the capacity of the Group's wind power generation units increased on a year-to-year basis and as a 
result of elevation of efficiency, power generation of the Group's wind power generation units increased by 
approximately 53.42% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Note: Since the results of Shanxi Datang International Yuncheng Power Generation Company Limited will no 
longer be consolidated into the financial statements of the Group starting from 2013, the power generation 
and on-grid power generation of Shanxi Datang International Yuncheng Power Generation Company Limited will be 
excluded from the Company's total power generation and total on-grid power generation for the first half of 
2012 in this announcement.
