 Announcement on Power Generation and Project Updates for the First Quarter of 
                                     2015

The board of directors (the "Board") and all directors (the "Directors") of the
Company warrant that there are no false representations and misleading
statements contained in, or material omissions from this announcement, and
severally and jointly accept the responsibility for the truthfulness, accuracy
and completeness of the contents of this announcement.

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.10(B) of the Rules Governing the
Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that,
based on the Company's preliminary statistics, as of 31 March 2015, total power
generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the "Group") amounted to
41.1452 billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 7.26% when
compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total on-grid power
generation of the Group amounted to 38.8671 billion kWh, representing a
decrease of approximately 7.81% when compared to the corresponding period of
the previous year.

The Group's power generation of thermal power generation units decreased by
approximately 10.15% when compared with the corresponding period of the
previous year which is attributable to factors such as the slowdown in economic
growth of China, the decrease in overall regional on-grid utilisation hours of
thermal power generation units and annual inspections of several thermal power
generating units. The Group's power generation of hydropower generation units
increased by approximately 58.18% when compared with the corresponding period
of the previous year as a result of the increase in inflowing water in the area
where the generation units situated.

2. Status of capacity increase in the first quarter of 2015
   
   Installed capacity in the first quarter of 2015 increased by 42MW in total,
   breakdown of which is shown as below:

   Increase in newly installed capacity of wind power generating units: 42MW.

3. The status of the power generation project approved
   
   In the first quarter of 2015, two power generation projects were approved,
   details as follow:

   Thermal power project: Guangdong Datang International Leizhou power plant newly
   constructed "replacing small capacity generating units with large capacity
   ones" 2x100MW project.

   Photovoltaic project: Qinghai Gonghe Datang International Phase III 10MW
   grid-connected photovoltaic project.
