The board of directors (the "Board") and all directors (the "Directors") of the
Company warrant that there are no false representations and misleading

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(2) of the Rules Governing the
Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that,
based on the Company's preliminary statistics, as of 30 June 2010, total power
generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the "Group") amounted to 80.768
billion kWh, representing an increase of 31.75% when compared to the
corresponding period of the previous year. Total on-grid power generation of
the Group amounted to 76.013 billion kWh, representing an increase of 31.65%
when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

The significant increase in power generation of the Group for the first half
year of 2010 over the corresponding period of the previous year was mainly
owing to the Company benefitting from the following:

 1. An increase in capacity of operational generating units;
   
 2. An increase in average utilisation hours of coal-fired units over the
    corresponding period of the previous year.
