Annual General Meeting Statement

At the Annual General Meeting held today, the Chairman Sir Victor Garland
announced his intention to retire from the Board with effect from the June 2010
Board meeting. He explained that the Board is taking this opportunity to
refresh membership and that there will be two new appointments scheduled for
the beginning of 2010. Further details of the new appointments will be
announced in due course. Following Sir Robin McLaren's retirement from the
Board from the close of the Annual General Meeting as previously announced, Mr
Hugh Bolland has been appointed Senior Independent Director with immediate
effect.
