Statement re loan repayment

The Board of Fidelity Asian Values PLC announces that on 12 September 2008 an
amount of US$ 7,000,000 was repaid under the Company's existing loan facility
with Lloyds TSB Bank plc, thus reducing the loan to US$ 11,000,000.

The Company has no other loans in place.
