Amendment to Transaction in Own Shares

The issuer advises that the following replaces the transaction in own shares
announcement released on 21 January 2008 at 16:59 under RIS number
PRNUK-2101081655-DAB4. The repurchase price should have read 1205 pence per
share and not 12.05 pence per share as previously announced. All other details
remain unchanged. The full amended text appears below.

Fidelity European Values PLC announces that the Company on 21 January 2008
repurchased for cancellation 57,000 of its own shares at a price of 1205 pence
per share. The total number of shares now in issue is 58,620,751.
