The Board of Fidelity European Values PLC is pleased to announce that Dr Robin
Niblett was appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company on 14 January
2010.

Dr Niblett has been Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House (The Royal
Institute of International Affairs), Britain's and one of the world's foremost
policy institutes since 2007, prior to which he worked for the Center for
Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), becoming Executive Vice President in
2001.

It is confirmed that there is no further information to be disclosed under
Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) to (6).

The Board of Fidelity European Values PLC is also pleased to confirm that on
the retirement of Mr Robert Walther as Chairman following this year's Annual
General Meeting, Mr Humphrey van der Klugt will be appointed Chairman of the
Board. Mr James Robinson will, in turn, be appointed Chairman of the Audit
Committee and Senior Independent Director; roles previously held by Mr van der
Klugt.
