The Board of Fidelity European Values PLC is pleased to announce that Marion
Sears was appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company 17 January 2013.

Marion Sears is the Senior Independent non-executive Director of the retailers
Dunelm Group Plc. She is also a non-executive Director of Persimmon plc and
Octopus AIM VCT Plc.

Marion was previously Managing Director of Investment banking at JP Morgan and
has served as a non-executive director of Boehringer Ingleheim Ltd, LGC
Holdings plc and Prelude Trust Plc, a Healthcare and IT Technology focused
investment trust. She has also held executive positions at Glaxo Group Plc, UBS
and Baring Brothers.

It is confirmed that there is no further information to be disclosed under
Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) to (6).
