This announcement is made in accordance with DTR5.6.1

As at 9 February 2012 Fidelity Japanese Values PLC's issued share capital
consists of 97,449,926 ordinary shares with voting rights and 17,242,908
subscription shares without voting rights. Fidelity Japanese Values PLC holds
no shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Fidelity Japanese Values PLC is
97,449,926.

The above figure (97,449,926) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Fidelity Japanese
Values PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
