Transaction in Own Shares - amended announcement

Fidelity Special Values PLC advises that the following replaces the transaction
in own shares announcement released on 3 August 2007 at 17:02 under RNS number
PRNUK-0308071655-7842. The price per share should have read 575.71 pence and
not 576.37 pence as previously announced. All other details remain unchanged.

Fidelity Special Values PLC announces that the Company, on 3 August 2007,
repurchased 25,000 of its own shares for cancellation at a price of 575.71
pence per share. The total number of shares now in issue is 60,016,458.
