Transaction in Own Shares

Fidelity Special Values PLC advises that the following replaces the transaction
in own shares announcement released on 17 October 2007 at 16.24 under RNS
number PRNUK - 1710071723-FE1A.

The total number of shares now in issue is 59,223,313 and not 59,273,313 as
previously announced. All other details remain unchanged. The full amended text
appears below.

Fidelity Special Values PLC announces that the Company, on 17 October 2007,
repurchased 50,000 of its own shares for cancellation at a price of 581.76
pence per share. The total number of shares now in issue is 59,223,313.
