Exemption under Listing Rule 15.4.4R, from the usual prohibition set out in the
Model Code for the above named company to apply until the expected announcement
date for the forthcoming results.

The Company calculates and announces, to the London Stock Exchange, net asset
values on a daily basis. The net asset value calculations are:

 a. in respect of not less than 90% of the Company's gross assets; and
   
 b. comply with industry accepted standards (AIC standards).
   
The Company also confirms the following information:

 a. that the net asset value as at 28 September 2007 (last business day of
    month) was announced to the London Stock Exchange on Monday, 1 October
    2007;
   
 b. that in respect of the above-named company, there is no material difference
    between the information already published and that to be included in the
    forthcoming results announcement;
   
 c. that there is no other unpublished information which constitutes price
    sensitive information in respect of the company's securities; and
   
 d. that the percentage of unlisted investments is 0%.
