                      FINSBURY GROWTH & INCOME TRUST PLC                       

Second Interim Dividend

The Board has declared a second interim dividend of 5.2 pence per share in
respect of the year ending 30 September 2012, such dividend will be paid on 2
November 2012 to shareholders on the register on 5 October 2012.

The Board does not intend to recommend a final dividend in respect of the year
ending 30 September 2012. The total dividends paid for the year will be 9.8
pence per share (2011: 9.2 pence per share). The shares will go ex-dividend on
3 October 2012.
