                      FINSBURY GROWTH & INCOME TRUST PLC                       

                            First Interim Dividend                             

The Board has declared a first interim dividend of 5.1p per share (first
interim dividend 2013: 4.8p per share) in respect of the year ending 30
September 2014. Such dividend will be paid on Tuesday, 6 May 2014 to
shareholders on the register on Friday, 4 April 2014. The associated
ex-dividend date is Wednesday, 2 April 2014.
