Notification of transactions of directors / persons discharging managerial
responsibilities ("PDMRs")
In accordance with DTR 3.1.4R, FirstGroup plc (the "Company") announces that it
was notified yesterday (in accordance with DTR 3.1.2R) that the following
disposals of nil paid rights in respect of the Company's ordinary shares of 5
pence each took place in London under the terms of the Rights Issue announced
by the Company on 20 May 2013.

The proceeds of the sale of these nil paid rights will be used in full to take
up the remaining nil paid rights to which the respective PDMRs are entitled
(`tail-swallowing') and a further announcement regarding the subscription for
those new ordinary shares will be made following the closing of the Rights
Issue.
