Further to the announcement made earlier this year, FirstGroup plc confirms
that Sid Barrie joined the Board as Commercial Director with effect from 1
August 2005.

Sid Barrie holds 20,000 FirstGroup plc at the date of his appointment.

There are no other details required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6 13R.
