Statement re First Edinburgh Buses

FirstGroup plc welcomes OFT's finding that passengers in Edinburgh benefited
from competition

FirstGroup is delighted that the Office of Fair Trading has found that we did
not infringe the Competition Act in Edinburgh. We always maintained that the
allegations made against us were unfounded. We welcome the OFT's conclusion
that passengers in Greater Edinburgh benefited from our low fares and more
frequent bus services.
