EP GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES TRUST PLC

The Company was advised on 24 February 2009 that, on 22 January 2007, Rathbone
Brothers PLC had made a notification to the Company and the FSA informing them
that as a result of the implementation of the Transparency Directive they had
an indirect interest in 3,001,240 ordinary 1p shares, representing 8.83% of the
voting rights then in issue. The original notification dated 22 January 2007
was not received by the Company.

The Company was also advised on 24 February 2009 that the current interest of
Rathbone Brothers PLC was 2,689,009 shares, representing 8.72% of the voting
rights currently in issue.
