Transaction in Own Shares

EP Global Opportunities Trust plc (the `Company')

The Company announces that on 26 October 2009 it purchased 23,500 of its own
Ordinary 1p shares at a price of £1.67 per share. The shares have been placed
into Treasury.

Following these transactions, the Company has 3,735,000 Ordinary shares held in
Treasury and 28,919,180 Ordinary shares in circulation. The total number of
shares in issue remains as 32,654,180.
