Transaction in Own Shares

EP Global Opportunities Trust plc (the "Company")

The Company announces that on 30 August 2011 it purchased 135,000 of its own
Ordinary 1p shares at a price of £1.4887371 per share and 47,150 of its own
Ordinary 1p shares at a price of £1.5041376 per share. The shares have been
placed into Treasury.

Following these transactions, the Company has 5,764,850 Ordinary shares held in
Treasury and 58,744,792 Ordinary shares in circulation. The total number of
shares in issue remains as 64,509,642.
