APPOINTMENT OF NEW GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR
Hays plc today announces that Paul Venables is to join as Group Finance
Director with effect from 1 May 2006. Paul, aged 44, a chartered accountant
joins the Group from DHL Logistics, a division of Deutsche Post World Net.
Prior to the acquisition of Exel plc by Deutsche Post in December 2005, he was
Deputy Group Finance Director and a member of the Executive Board of Exel plc.
In 13 years at Exel plc, Paul played a key part in helping to shape and drive
forward the growth, financial strength and success of Exel. He led the
successful integration of the Tibbett & Britten Group plc following the
acquisition in 2004.
Bob Lawson, Chairman of Hays plc said, 'Paul has considerable international
experience and excellent technical skills. We are delighted to welcome him to
the Board of Hays where he will contribute significantly to the ongoing growth
and development of the business.'
There are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
