HgCapital Trust plc (the "Company")

The Company announces, in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1), that the Directors of
the Company have acquired a number of Ordinary Shares in the Company through
the recent Open Offer at the Offer Price of 845 pence per Ordinary Share as
detailed below:
