HEADLINE: Retirement of Director
The Board of Invesco Asia Trust plc wishes to announce that David Hinde, the
current Chairman, has indicated his intention to retire with effect from the
conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held in 2013.
The Board would like to place on record and acknowledge its appreciation of
David's invaluable contribution during his 10 years of service as a Director
and to wish him well in his retirement.
As a result of David's decision, the Board is pleased to announce that Carol
Ferguson has accepted its nomination to succeed David as Chairman. Carol has
wide experience within the investment trust industry, having been Chairman of
the Association of Investment Companies from 2007 to 2011, and has already made
a substantial contribution to the Company since joining the Board in March
2009.
