In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R we would like to
notify the market of the following:

Invesco Perpetual UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc's issued share
capital consists of 53,251,084 ordinary shares of 20p each with voting rights.

The above figure of 53,251,084 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Invesco Perpetual
UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and
Transparency Rules.
